Good news– the Columbia weather is finally starting to cool off! Although it was a bit too hot to go apple picking, Kyle and I compromised and opted to pick up some mums at the scenic Strawberry Hills Farm instead. I found this long sleeve marigold blouse on Shopbop’s website, and the color (inadvertently) matched the botanicals perfectly. Plus, I was so drawn to the unique Victorian collar. The smocked elastic accents on the collar and cuffs are so fun, and I love the button back keyhole detailing. Plus, the material is airy without being too sheer, so it was perfect for a sunny day in the high 70s, low 80s.
I paired this long sleeve marigold blouse and its dramatic Victorian collar with my favorite pair of raw ankle skinny jeans, which are currently 33% off! Typically, I won’t pay more than $100 for a pair of jeans, but I snagged these during the Nordstrom Sale, and they were/still are one of my favorite purchases. I figured we’d be exploring the grounds on gravel, so I grabbed these practical leopard flats, which match my brand new cat mini metro watch, instead of my go-to tall boots. Oh, and I proudly debuted my favorite new bag. I love looking at high-end designer bags, but I just don’t have the budget (or desire) to own any. So, I found this Chloé Faye dupe bag on Amazon– and I swear, it looks/feels just like the real deal. Head to the bottom of this post for full outfit details!
And I mean seriously, how gorgeous are these mums? I wanted to get 9 or 10, but our little 5th floor balcony can only hold 2. Luckily, the modest surface area of the wagon deterred me from my typical irrational spending.
Oh, and Strawberry Hills Farm has pumpkins, too! We’re heading to an actual pumpkin patch this weekend (weather permitting), but we couldn’t resist picking up a perfectly round white pumpkin.
