December is definitely the month when I get the most wear out of the red section of my color-coded closet. I’ve had this preppy cardigan since I first discovered my love for all things J. Crew some decades ago, and every year, its classic cut and festive hue continue to be an effortless embellishment to any fall or winter outfit. I actually own this same style in 6 (unfortunately not an exaggeration) different colors. While it looks adorable as a regular open cardigan, the over-the-shoulder sweater look is a stylistic favorite of mine, since it adds a cute scholarly feel to any outfit and was trademarked by one of my ultimate style icons, the fabulously classy Jackie O.
On this particular occasion, I paired my staple J. Crew red cardigan sweater with this insane steal of a work dress I found at TJ Maxx, bold crimson lips, and red patent leather pumps. Who’s excited for Christmas?! This girl put up her Christmas tree this past weekend, and I always forget that its holiday luster instantly turns me back into a 7-year-old. BRB while I watch every Christmas movie ever made and drink a family-sized pitcher of eggnog.
