For those of you who read my blog regularly, you know how keen I am on honest, well-researched product reviews, which typically result in a positive commentary. Well, now for a product I’m not super fond of… Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer. I purchased the Cocoa-Radiant, Non-Greasy Formula for about $8 at Target a few weeks ago and was very excited to give this a try. The product claims to, “moisturize in seconds, so you can put your clothes right on.” Not exactly how it happens, Vaseline.

The spray bottle is relatively handy and allows you to spray the product evenly all over your skin; however, it’s just not enough moisture to measure up to regular lotion. Plus, it takes equally as long to dry as regular lotion, while leaving a greasy and somewhat dangerous oil residue on your floor (yes, I’ve slipped in it, and I’m still bitter about the bruises I have).

I do have fairly dry skin, though, so keep that in mind. My go-to lotion has always been Nivea’s Essentially Enriched formula (and occasionally I’ll switch to Nivea’s Skin Firming Body Lotion Q10 Plus, Aveeno, or Dove), and it works wonders on my areas of dryness. I love cocoa butter, I love Vaseline, and I love anything that will decrease my preparation time in the mornings… but Spray & Go just doesn’t measure up to regular lotion. Especially during those times when smart girls forget their sunscreen, there’s no better cure than Nivea lotion and some old fashioned aloe! My moisture-enhancing favorites are below:

While these lotions aren’t the cheapest on the market, they’re still affordable and extremely effective. The skin is the largest organ of the body, so you better take care of it! Do y’all have any moisturizing miracle workers? Please share! Hope y’all are having a fabulously amazing week.

Hi pretty lady! Lubriderm is great stuff, too. I haven't tried sea Buckthorn or LUSH yet. Thanks for the suggestions!

I really like a thick consistency to my body lotions. I've given up on every product on the market except for raw shea butter whipped to a butter like consistency. I get it at a flea market and looove it. My husband and daughter also use it. I have never even hard of this spray and go product. Thanks for the honest review. I would have bought this for sure! I am planning a target run this weekend and now I will save $8, thank you! I also have decently dry skin ( I live in the desert ) my favorite lotions are Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Creme & Hempz Original Body Moisturizer (the Pomegranate Scent is really great too!)

You're very welcome! I LOVE all of Nivea's products; their moisturizing cremes are (in my opinion) some of the best on the market. I've never tried Hempz, though, so thanks for the suggestion 🙂 Have a great weekend!

I seen the spray and go a couple days ago and it definitely had me intrigued. I don't like the fact that it would probably get all over the place like spray sunblock. I don't want to have to go outside to put on my moisturizer. haha

Thanks for the review. I actually like the lotion version of this product, so I might have actually bought this! I definitely won't now! You can't go wrong with the Body Shop body butters for super dry skin. Just make sure you buy them on sale. They're normally $20+, but you can get them for $8-10 usually.
