This was the coldest week we’ve had so far this winter in Florida, so I made good use of my adorable new green and black plaid peacoat from Old Navy. It’s on sale right now for under $26, so I was admittedly skeptical of its quality. However, it’s just as cute, comfortable, and most importantly, warm as I hoped. It’s wool-blended, and it also comes in 4 other colors, all of which have been added to my shopping list. Although it’s versatile enough to go with almost any casual outfit, I styled my black plaid peacoat with black jeans, classic black riding boots, and a black scarf. There’s no better way to highlight a garment than with neutral compliments, and I love the festive pop of green against the black. It almost looks Christmasy, and I love it. 

Since it was cold, I went easy on the accessories. I couldn’t take a chance on a watch or bracelet freezing my arm off. So, I opted for classic black Kendra Scott earrings and a black Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag. I bought this bag on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. I wear it whenever I’m not wearing brown, which is often. As always, all outfit details are listed at the bottom of this post. Oh, and in case my squinty eyes aren’t enough of an indication, it was also rather windy the day this outfit was shot. Please excuse my beady eyes and awkward facial expressions. Florida girls aren’t used to wind chills.
