The Floridian in me doesn’t like monochromatism; something in the water makes us incorporate bright pops of color into otherwise neutral ensembles. You’ll notice native brands like Lilly Pulitzer, which was born in West Palm Beach, rarely even design black/brown/gray clothing. Because of the unwritten formal dress code in my previous capacity as a financial operations manager, I’ve been trained to love wearing black, and my favorite, fun compliment will always be pink. Bright, bold, Barbie pink. I styled this black oversized tunic, which is the definition of comfortable, with faux leather leggings and pink statement jewelry. If you’ve ever wondered how to wear leather leggings casually, this is how to do it.
Also, I’m elated that I found this stunning pair of galactic drop earrings from Happiness Boutique. They look identical to a pair by BaubleBar that sold out before I could get my hands on them. If you use code thediaryofadebutante, you’ll receive 10% off your order through February 10th. These earrings also perfectly match my set of Baublebar bracelets, so that’s another bonus. Full outfit details are listed at the bottom of this post.
